Comcast Cares Day at YSI

On April 21st Youth Service, Inc. welcomed volunteers back for the 16th Annual Comcast Cares Day. More than 100,000 Comcast NBCUniversal employees participated in projects across the nation. Comcast Cares Day is the country’s largest corporate volunteer effort and a culmination of the company’s year-round commitment to community service.

Led by Elisa Stagliano, the Comcast Cares Day team tackled tasks at Youth Emergency Service to support youth in the program. As a temporary respite for youth, there is always the need for personal care items and help organizing and storing gently used clothing donations. The Comcast team hosted a drive at their office collecting personal care items, which they sorted and organized in our center.  They also donated storage bins to streamline the organization of clothing items. Thanks to the Comcast team for their generosity in taking on these tasks which truly make a difference in the lives of youth coming to YES.
