Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background.

I graduated from Penn State University in the spring of 2012 with a B.S in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been fortunate enough to work in Child Welfare since 2013. I started as an In Home Protective Service Case Manager and have also worked as Family Empowerment Case manager at Youth Service, Inc. My passion is with youth and strengthening the family unit. I love working in this field and I think my job makes me a stronger person every day.

Q: How long have you been working at YSI in the FR program?

Since June 2018.

Q: Why do you think the FR program is important?

I think FR is a great effort for YSI/ Youth Emergency Service (YES) to collaborate with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) to try to quickly eradicate any obstacles a family may be facing that is preventing reunification for the youth to return home.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working at YSI in the FR program?

Working in the FR program, I enjoy being able to work with the families and the youth, providing them with resources, and really being able to connect with them to facilitate reunification.
