The teens who participated in YSI’s 12th annual My Life, My Future Teen Conference danced, sang, listened, and dialogued throughout the course of the June 25 event.
Attendees were treated to performances by a diverse set of musicians, including the sensational Central High School violinist Emmanuel Houndo, Rashaun “DJ Reezey” Williams, and harmonica/beat-boxing prodigy Nyier “Nas” Cunningham.
Recent Central High School graduate Brandon Hubert MC’d much of the proceedings, including a dance contest and karaoke sing-off, while workshop facilitators like Antionette Capri engaged teens in critical discussions around important topics, including financial planning and sexual health.
