Register now for a June 22nd webinar on new research on youth experiencing homelessness, followed by a panel. The webinar will be from 10 AM to 11.30 AM.
A new study from researchers at Nemours Children’s Health System and the University of Pennsylvania finds that youth homelessness may be drastically underestimated in the United States.
In this briefing, the researchers will review their findings from 24 states, including Pennsylvania, and 12 school districts, including the School District of Philadelphia, from the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavioral Survey. They will discuss the demographic and risk factors for youth homelessness and engage in a discussion around policy recommendations with the rest of the panel.
The event is co-hosted by Congressperson Dwight Evans and People’s Emergency Center’s Kathy Desmond.
The presentation will be by Dr. JJ Cutuli of Nemours and Dr. Daniel Treglia of the University of Pennsylvania.
Confirmed panelists include:
Gwendolyn Bailey, Executive Director, Youth Services, Inc.
Erin Patterson, Director of Education Initiatives, SchoolHouse Connection
