Youth Service, Inc. was recently selected by the Samuel S. Fels Fund to receive a donation of $15,000 to help young adults who have aged out of the child welfare system with rent assistance. This donation is part of the Fels Fund’s “Youth In-and-Exiting Child Welfare” funding stream. The money will be used by YSI’s Community Navigator program, which focuses on youth ages 18-24 who are housing insecure. The Community Navigator program serves as a resource center, providing job search assistance, link to emergency housing, transportation, food and clothing.
