The respite childcare team at Youth Service, Inc.’s Baring House Crisis Nursery has been working tirelessly to help essential workers with child care during COVID-19. The crisis nursery is a 24-hour program providing safe, temporary childcare for children newborn to age 5. This has been crucial to helping parents and caregivers like Angelicque be able to continue to work to provide for their families during this time.
“Baring House has been there to support me and my needs to be able to report to work. Being as though my job is considered essential because I work in the airline industry making sure hospitals receive their medical equipment, we transport all military from point a to point b, we help the citizens be by the sides of their family members when needed and we help transport all government officials. At this moment I am risking everyday not being able to go to work because I have no one to care for my children. I rely on childcare in order for me to be able to pay my bills. Thank you!”
